Freelancers are likely to suffer cashflow problems as late payments increase during the Olympic Games according to a warning from a leading finance company.

Small and medium-sized enterprises may be set to dump the Royal Mail en masse following this week’s rise in the cost of postal services, new data from business services company Sage UK suggests.

Though unemployment has fallen by 0.1%, to 8.3%, there were still 2.65 million people out of work in the three months to February 2012, the latest statistics from the Office of National Statistics report.
